Week three focused on chemistry getting started with Dr. Caran & Casey from the JMU Chemistry Department spending the day conducting demonstrations. Dr. Caran hosts WHS students during the year at the Take a Peek Day. Some of the students met Casey doing demonstrations at the Math Conference for Young Women in the Spring on JMU's campus at the College of Education.
Students learn more about latex and the effects of cold temperature on latex towards learning more about polymers.
